Offered Kerohiman Money But Rejected, One Family Living On PT KAI Gambir Land Forced To Leave
JAKARTA - One Head of Family (KK) in RT 02/04, Jalan Ceylon, Kebon Pala Village, Gambir, Central Jakarta, is disappointed with the attitude of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 1 Jakarta which evicted his residence.
Dedi Robert, a resident of the house that was evicted by PT KAI Daop I, admitted that he had lived in that place for a long time. He said the house had been inhabited by his family since the Dutch era.
"Hopefully there will be a take and give, a policy from PT KAI. He wants to give mercy but I don't accept it," said Dedi when VOI met at the location, Friday April 1.
Dedi assessed that the evictions carried out by officers had many irregularities.
"I want the real (red). Together with RT, RW, urban village, sit together with them (PT KAI) to find common ground," said the man, a native of Jalan Ceylon.
As a result of the forced eviction by PT KAI, Dedi and his family were still packing a number of their belongings that had been evacuated under the railroad bridge.
"Moving to a house is possible. (about the loss) I have faced everything," said Dedi.
Confirmed separately, Head of Public Relations of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Eva Chairunisa said, the land is an asset of PT KAI which is recorded in the company's fixed assets, so if anyone uses it, it must be bound by a lease contract.
It is known, in the area there is KAI land of around 1000m2 which is currently inhabited by around 9 heads of families (KK).
According to Eva, 9 families have illegally occupied the company's house and have been unwilling to enter into a rental contract since 2010. For this reason, KAI Daop 1 carries out control with the help of securing the location with the Police, TNI and Satpol PP.
However, of the 9 families, 8 of them were finally willing to start signing a lease contract with Daop 1 Jakarta. Meanwhile, 1 KK which is inhabited by Dedi and his family with an object with an area of 96 m2 is not willing to have a lease contract. Then disciplined and prohibited from occupying the land.
Eva said that before carrying out the control, the ranks of Daop 1 Jakarta had tried to make a persuasive approach to residents to make a lease contract. However, there are a number of residents who do not want to follow the rules for rental contracts or survive illegally.
"Under these conditions, according to the procedure, warning letters 1, 2 and 3 are given and brought into order. The occupant's actions are not justified or can be said to be occupancy without rights or illegal," said Eva.
KAI appeals to other people who occupy land or buildings belonging to PT KAI in other areas to immediately carry out the contract process in accordance with applicable regulations.
