Wijaya Karya Officials Detained By KPK In Corruption In The Waterfront City Project
JAKARTA - Region II Manager of PT Wijaya Karya (WIKA) and Manager of Operations Division I of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, I Ketut Suarbawa, has been detained by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The detention was carried out after Ketut Suarbawa was questioned by KPK investigators as a suspect. He is a suspect in an alleged corruption case related to the procurement and implementation of the construction of the Waterfront City bridge in Kampar, the 2015-2016 fiscal year.
Together with Ketut Suarbawa, the KPK also detained other suspects in this case, namely the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) for the Waterfront Bridge Service of Bina Marga and Irrigation, Kampar Regency, Riau, Adnan.
KPK Deputy Chairman Lili Pintauli Siregar stated that the two suspects were detained at the KPK's Red and White House Detention Center. Both will spend the first 20 days in detention cells.
"For the purposes of investigation, the suspects ADN (Adnan) and IKT (I Ketut Suarbawa) were detained by the detention center each for the next 20 days starting from September 29, 2020 to October 18, 2020 at the KPK branch detention center, the Red and White House," said Lili. at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 29.
Before languishing in the detention cell of the Red and White House Prison, Ketut Suarbawa and Adnan will undergo independent isolation at the KPK Rutan Kavling C1. This independent isolation is part of an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 within the KPK.
"Previously, an independent isolation would be carried out in the Rutan KPK Kavling C1 in order to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak," said Lili.
It is known, the KPK named Adnan and Ketut Suarbawa as suspects in the alleged corruption case of the Waterfront City Bridge construction project or the Bangkinang Bridge, Kampar Regency, Riau for the 2015-2016 fiscal year.
Adnan and Ketut Suarbawa allegedly colluded in the Waterfront City Bridge project or the Bangkinang Bridge in Kampar Regency in 2015-2016 which cost Rp. 117.68 billion.
The KPK suspects that there has been a collaboration between Adnan and I Ketut Suarbawa regarding the estimated price for the implementation of the multi-year Waterfront City Bridge construction which is funded by the 2015 APBD, the 2015 Revised APBD and the 2016 APBD. 50 billion.
"It is suspected that in this project there has been a financial loss of at least around Rp. 50 billion from the value of the multi-year Waterfront city bridge construction project in the 2015 and 2016 fiscal years with a total contract value of Rp. 117.68 billion," said Lili.
