Angkot Driver Passo Ambon Line Complains To DPRD, Pertalite Is Rare And Every Sunday Must Buy Pertamax

AMBON - Hundreds of angkot drivers on the Passo route came to the Ambon City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) office to complain about the scarcity of Pertalite fuel oil in Ambon City.

"We have followed up on what has become a concern for the community, especially this angkot, and every Sunday there is only Pertamax. That's a program from Pertamina to eliminate everything else, just Pertamax. So it's called Pertamax Day. It's just pertamax," said Member of Commission II DPRD Ambon, Margaretha Siahay, in Ambon, Antara, Friday, April 1.

He asked Pertamina not to let the people of Ambon City, especially the angkot drivers, be restless with the scarcity of fuel, especially since the religious day was approaching.

"Pertamina should have socialized it, so that there will be no unrest like this," he said.

He stated that this would be followed up clearly on Monday, by bringing Pertamina and angkot drivers to hold a joint meeting regarding the scarcity of this Pertalite type of fuel.

"That's what we'll ask at the work meeting later. Because we have a responsibility for things that don't happen," he said.

Meanwhile, the head of the Passo route, Isak Pelamonia, said that their visit to the Ambon City DPRD, especially Commission II, was to ask for an explanation about Pertalite, which has been scarce for the past month.

“Pertalite in Ambon City has been around for more than a month. One month ago, Commission II should have responded first, we don't have to take action before responding to it," he said.

He admitted that he was not satisfied with Pertamina, which did not provide Pertalite every Sunday.

“Sundays must be filled with Pertamax. It was recently said by gas station people that this was Pertamina's decision, Pertalite was not sold, only Pertamax was sold. Meanwhile, Pertamax is now priced at Rp. 12 thousand. Then how do we driver. This doesn't make sense. That's why we came here to ask for an explanation, to discuss things like this," he said.

He said that if what the angkot drivers asked for was not realized, they would take big actions, especially the angkot Passo.

"On Monday we will be summoned for a meeting with Pertamina. If this is not realized, we are ready to boycott all gas stations in Ambon City," he said.
