JAKARTA - Vivo Indonesia has finally raised its voice regarding accusations by the Norwegian musician, Anna of the North, of using her song as a background music requirement in the latest gadget ad on YouTube. "Yesterday's problem was clear, this is a misunderstanding with a third party," said Edy in a virtual press conference, Tuesday, September 29.
Previously, the ad was accused of using a song without the permission of Anna Lotterud as the owner. The musician who is popular with the name Anna of the North via his Instagram account expressed his concern that his work was used without permission.
In his upload, he contains screenshots of commercial commercial vivo V20 and V20 SE in Indonesia. The campaign uses the song "Dream Girl", which he released in 2019.
At first glance, some of the instruments and melodies in them sound very similar. However, the lyrics between 'Dream Girl' and the song in the Vivo V20 Series smartphone advertisement are clearly different.
