Ganjar And Prabowo's Electability Soars, Followed By Khofifah, Social Media Activists: Anies And AHY Don't Sell

JAKARTA - Social media activist Chusnul Chotimah considers the electability of Ganjar Pranowo and Prabowo Subianto to have skyrocketed. Meanwhile, the electability level of Anies Baswedan and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) actually declined.

Chusnul's assessment is based on the results of the 2024 presidential candidate electability survey for the East Java region released by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI). A number of factors underlie Ganjar and Prabowo to become champions in East Java, including populist and assertive.

"The Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) released the results of the 2024 Presidential Election survey in East Java. As a result, Ganjar Pranowo's electability is still the highest. Ganjar is at 22.5%, then Prabowo is at 20.2%. Completing the top 3 is Ms. Khofifah at 10.6% . Anies-AHY is not selling well," he said on his Twitter account, @ChusnulCh__, Friday April 1st.

The LSI survey related to the electability of the 2024 presidential candidates was conducted on March 6-14, 2022. At least 1,200 respondents from 38 regencies and cities in East Java were involved.

LSI's Executive Director, Djayadi Hanan, said that Ganjar's election rate was the highest in the semi-open simulation or many names. Ganjar's electability is 22.5 percent, a difference of two percent from Prabowo Subianto in second place with 20.2 percent.

According to Djayadi, there are three main reasons people choose a presidential candidate, namely the people or paying attention to the people, being firm and authoritative, honest/clean from KKN.

Prabowo was chosen mainly for firm and authoritative reasons. Meanwhile, Ganjar Pranowo was chosen for reasons of the people or paying attention to the people.

"The Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa is in third place at 10.6 percent, followed by Tri Rismaharini 7.5 percent, and Anies Baswedan 5.7 percent. While the other names are lower, less than 4 percent, and have not answered 7.8 percent," said the Executive Director of LSI, Djayadi Hanan, while releasing a survey on the simulation results of the 2024 Presidential Election in Surabaya, Wednesday, March 30.

For the vice-presidential candidate, the Governor of East Java, Khofifah, is the community's first choice. In a simulation of 11 names of vice presidential candidates, Khofifah is in first place as the most suitable candidate for vice president.

Khofifah was chosen as a vice presidential candidate by 21.8 percent of voters, then Ganjar 14.5 percent, Ridwan Kamil 13.4 percent and Sandiaga Uno 13.2 percent. Next is Anies Baswedan with 10.6 percent, AHY 7.5 percent, and other names under 4 percent.

Khofifah's position is inseparable from her performance as governor which is considered positive by the community. The level of satisfaction of the people of East Java with the governor is high, with 71.3 percent saying they are satisfied and 18.3 percent saying they are very satisfied.
