Not Supported, Head Of The South West Papua Expansion Team Declares To Resign
PAPUA - Lambert Jitmau has resigned from his position as head of the team for the acceleration of the proposed expansion of the Southwest Papua Province. He submitted a decree (SK) of his previous appointment to the Governor of West Papua.
"I will immediately return the decree as the head of the team to accelerate the expansion of the Southwest Papua province to the Governor of West Papua and then the governor's authority to appoint which area in the Sorong Raya area is the head of the division team," he said, in Sorong, West Papua, Friday April 1.
He said that the struggle for the division of West Papua was a political promise from the governor of West Papua during the campaign five years ago. However, the expansion acceleration team, which received a decree from the governor, did not receive any support at all.
"Both financial support and encouragement to coordinate and communicate with the central government in this case the relevant ministries so that the process of the expansion of new autonomous regions which has been a joint struggle so far can be realized," he said, as reported by Antara.
In addition, he said, the act of rejecting the proposed expansion of new autonomous regions which is a conspiracy of certain parties is increasingly widespread. In fact, he was the head of the team for accelerating the expansion of the division into the target of demonstrations, even insulted and berated.
Meanwhile, the governor and other regional heads in the Sorong Raya area, which are part of the proposed expansion of the Southwest Papua Province, were not demonstrated.
Therefore, he will immediately return the SK as the head of the team to accelerate the expansion to the governor so that he will not be made fun of by the conspiracy groups against the expansion.
"I declare that I support and am ready to carry out any state decisions. I am still part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and that is a fixed price," he said.
