JAKARTA - We really need the internet to live in today's digital era. However, there is often a slow internet connection. This can be a barrier for users.

If you want to know how to test your internet speed, Google Home might be a simple and fast way to check your internet speed.

Google partnered with the Measurement Lab (M-Lab) to create a five-step process to test the speed of your internet connection.

"To complete the test, you will be linked to the Measurement Lab (M-Lab), and your IP address will be shared with them and processed according to their privacy policy," Google said.

The five steps to test your internet speed from the Google homepage are:

Step 1: Open any internet browser on your computer, smartphone or tablet and type Google.com.

Step 2: In the search bar, type Run Speed Test.

Step 3: A new dialog box will appear, with the option 'Internet speed test'. "Check your Internet speed in less than 30 seconds". A statement from the dialog box says, "Speed tests typically transfer less than 40 MB of data, but can transfer more data on fast connections."

Step 4: In the window, click the Run Speed Test option.

Step 5: A new window will open, showing all the information regarding your internet speed. If you want to test your internet speed again, click the test option again.

Meanwhile, according to the examiner when quoted from Gizbot, broadband speeds based in the US, Ookla, and internet speeds in India continued to increase.

India is also doing well in fixed broadband internet speeds, with an average download speed of 58.17Mbps in June last year, up from 55.65Mbps in May.
