Kemendikbud Notes That 27.3 Million Students And Teachers Will Receive Free Internet Quota Assistance
JAKARTA - The government has rolled out a number of free internet quotas that can be used by students and teachers during the distance learning program (PJJ). The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) noted that 27.3 million people have registered.
(Plt) Head of the Ministry of Education and Culture's Center for Data and Information Technology, Muhammad Hasan Chabibie said that all recipients of the free internet quota assistance have gone through a verification and validation process carried out by the ministry and cellular operators.
"If all the requirements are correct, as stated earlier, 27.3 million data are completely clean and submitted to the operator to be given a data quota," said Hasan Chabibie, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 29.
Hasan Chabibie said that the provision of free internet quota assistance should not be done carelessly so that it is right on target for people who need internet data for the teaching and learning process.
"Why do we need to be a bit careful with this requirement? Because this is state money. This is APBN money, so we shouldn't get the wrong target. We don't want to fill in a number that can't be injected. We shouldn't give it to a number that has nothing to do with students , "said Hasan Chabibie.
He continued that the requirements given to receive free education internet quota assistance from the government are very easy with the help of the system that has been created.
"The system that we created in Dapodik allows direct checking from the operator. So if there is an error in the requirements made by the school, there is a flow that can be seen," he said.
Hasan explained that the free education internet quota assistance was intended for school level students, teachers, lecturers to students. Not only that, this assistance is also open to those who come from public and private schools.
"Registration is still open, we don't close it, everyone can register. The one in September is closed, we will try to do this in October," he added.
