CILACAP – One day before Ramadan, the Cilacap Police and the Cilacap Regency Government through the Department of Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs (DPKUKM) ensured that the stock of basic necessities (nine basic commodities), including cooking oil (migor) was sufficient or safe.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Cilacap Police AKBP Eko Widiantoro accompanied by the Head of the Cilacap Regency DDPKUKM Umar Said at the release of stock availability of basic commodities ahead of Ramadan at the Cilacap Police Headquarters, Thursday, 31.
"In the Cilacap Regency area, the monitoring until today is Alhamdulillah, the availability of cooking oil, both in the cooking oil distributor, both bulk and packaged, is still safe," said the Police Chief.
The basic necessities and cooking oil, which were monitored by the police in the ranks, the Head of the Resort Police, added, were quite easy to obtain, and there were no queues for buying cooking oil.
"People can buy according to their needs," Eko added.
Head of the Department of Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs (DPKUKM) of Cilacap Regency Umar Said revealed, based on the results of monitoring the availability and prices of basic necessities in markets, ensuring the availability of basic necessities in the Cilacap Regency area was fulfilled and safe ahead of the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1443 H. .
"Prices of basic necessities are also relatively stable, there are only a few basic necessities that have increased and the increase is still reasonable or slight compared to last week, including chicken meat, chicken eggs and granulated sugar," he said.
He detailed that the current price of chicken meat is Rp. 37,000 per kg, chicken eggs are Rp. 25,000 per kg, while the price of sugar is Rp. 14,000 per kg. The price of the commodity coverage is based on the Regulation of the Minister of Trade Number 07 of 2020 concerning Reference Purchase Prices at the farmer level and Reference Sales Prices at the Consumer level.
"Especially for the increase in the price of sugar, it is not because of the moment of Ramadan or Eid, but because the stock in the warehouses of producers is reduced and the sugar cane harvest and sugar cane milling period has not yet entered," Umar explained. changes in people's consumption patterns during fasting compared to other times.
Specifically for cooking oil, the government has revoked the Minister of Trade Regulation No. 6 of 2022 concerning the Stipulation of HET for palm cooking oil, so the current price of cooking oil is the economic price or non-subsidized price.
"The price of packaged cooking oil ranges from Rp. 23,000 to Rp. 25,000 per liter. Availability of cooking oil after the revocation of Minister of Trade Regulation number 6 is meant, cooking oil stock in the market is very available," he concluded.
