Anticipating Dillian Whyte's Strength, Tyson Fury Recruits Boxer Who Failed Jarrell Miller's Doping Test For Sparring Sessions

JAKARTA - United States boxer Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller has returned from exile since testing positive for doping two years ago. Miller was invited by Tyson Fury to be his sparring partner.

On June 1, 2019, Miller is scheduled to fight Anthony Joshua for the WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight belts at Madison Square Garden, New York.

However, the duel was called off after Miller tested positive for the banned substance GW1516, which increases endurance and helps athletes burn fat.

Joshua had to accept a last-minute fight against Andy Ruiz as Miller's replacement.

With Miller's career on the verge of doping and his last fight against Bogdan Dinu taking place in November 2018, it's a bit surprising that Gypsy King - Fury's nickname - invited him as a sparring partner.

So Fury's sparring is by no means a way to get back up the boxing ladder, but it does get his name back on it and gives him the opportunity to be used further in other camps.

Miller's ban is due to expire in the summer of 2022, following further drug test failures ahead of his fight with Jerry Forrest in 2020.

According to the Daily Mirror on Thursday, Fury will need to replace his match partner, Jared Anderson, who suffered an injury that forced him to withdraw from the Gypsy King camp.

Fury is adamant that his fight with Dillian Whyte will be the last of his professional career. To that end, he wanted to prepare for the unconventional style of his British counterpart by working with fighters of the same profile.

Miller's boxing success has all come through strength, which Whyte will bring into the ring on April 23 at Wembley Stadium.

Fury was preparing a strategy for the fight and, when it became clear that there was a gap in his camp, Miller was the perfect candidate to fill it.
