6 Persebaya Surabaya Team Members Are Positive For COVID-19, This Is PT LIB's Response

JAKARTA - Shocking news ahead of the 2020 League 1 competition continued. Six Persebaya Surabaya team members tested positive for COVID-19. This is the result of a swab test conducted by PT Liga Indonesia Baru on Saturday, September 27.

The President of Persebaya, Azrul Ananda, said that the six team members experienced conditions without symptoms and had undergone independent quarantine. Persebaya immediately implements the appropriate protocol so that those who are exposed can recover.

"As well as other team members are awake," said Azrul.

The news that six members of the Persebaya team who tested positive for COVID-19 received a response from PT LIB. Main Director of PT LIB, Akhmad Hadian Lukita, praised Persebaya's move in announcing their players were exposed to the deadly virus.

According to Akhmad, Persebaya's step by announcing that the player is positive for COVID-19 can prevent transmission to other parties. He also asked negative players to be careful.

"Always implement health protocols," said Akhmad Hadian.

Meanwhile Persebaya asked PT LIB to pay attention to this case. Bajul Ijo management said the threat of COVID-19 was very real and could occur during the competition.

"Not only Persebaya, this can happen to anyone. Hopefully what happens can be a lesson together," said Azrul Ananda.
