After Being Examined By The KPK, The Democratic Politician Admits To Being Asked About The Process Of Implementing The 5th Musda In East Kalimantan

JAKARTA - Deputy II of the Membership and Cadreization Organization Development Agency (BPOKK) of the Democratic Party of the Democratic Party (DPP) Jemmy Setiawan has been investigated by KPK investigators. He was examined as a witness regarding the alleged receipt of bribes by the inactive North Penajem Paser Regent (PPU) Abdul Gofur Mas'ud.

After being questioned, he admitted that he was asked for information regarding the implementation of the 5th Regional Conference of the East Kalimantan Democratic Party (Kaltim). In this event, Abdul Gofur became one of the candidates for the Chair of the East Kalimantan Democratic Party DPD.

"(Checked, ed) Regarding the musda (Vth Musda of the East Kalimantan Democratic Party, ed)," Jemmy told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 30.

Jemmy did not elaborate further on the examination. He only mentioned that investigators had asked about technical matters and confirmed that Abdul Gofur had indeed run as a candidate for the chairman of the DPD for the East Kalimantan Democratic Party.

"(Asked, red) how the Musda process goes, when it is carried out, it's normal. Technical. Technical matters," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the flow of money to the party's event, Jemmy denied it. "Nothing, nothing (flow of bribes from Abdul Gafur to the 5th Musda of the East Kalimantan Democratic Party, ed)," said Jemmy.

"Where is the gift going to," he added. As previously reported, the KPK appointed Abdul Gafur with the Plt Secretary of North Penajam Paser Regency, Mulyadi; Head of Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning of North Penajam Paser Regency Edi Hasmoro; Head of the North Penajam Paser District Education, Youth and Sports Office, Jusman; and the General Treasurer of the Balikpapan Democratic Party DPC, Nur Afifah Balqis as a bribe recipient.

Meanwhile, as a suspect for giving bribes, the KPK has named a private party named Achmad Zudi. These six people have been named as suspects in alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services as well as granting permits in North Penajam Paser Regency.

Their determination was initiated from a hand-catching operation (OTT) which was held on Wednesday, January 12 in two locations, namely Jakarta and North Kalimantan. From the results of the action, the KPK also confiscated Rp1 billion and Rp447 million in Balqis's account.
