Series Of Crimes KKB Member Toni Tabuni Shot Dead: Involved In Kabinda Assault And Stealing SS1-AK47 Weapons

JAKARTA - One of the members of the armed criminal group (KKB), Toni Tabuni (24) was shot dead by police for trying to resist when he was arrested in Siriwini Village, Nabire Regency, Tuesday, March 29.

From the data held by the police, it seems that the perpetrators have been involved in a series of crimes in Papua.

One of them was the shooting of the Head of Regional BIN (Kabinda) Lt. Gen. (P) TNI I Gusti Putu Dani Nugraha in Beoga District on April 25, 2021.

"Involved in shooting the Kabinda of Papua," said Head of the Cartenz Peace Operations Public Relations Task Force Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal in a statement received, Wednesday, March 30.

In addition, Toni is suspected of being involved in the shooting of two COVID-19 Task Force officers on behalf of Alemalik Bagau and Heniko Somau in Intan Jaya on May 22, 2020. His figure is also said to have been involved in the theft of three firearms of the SS1 and AK47 types.

During the arrest process, the Gakkum Ops Damai Cartenz Task Force also arrested another person named Kais Tabuni (25). He is suspected of having helped Toni in a series of crimes.

"The suspect, Kais Tabuni, has been detained at the Nabire Police for further investigation," said Kamal.
