PSMS Strengthens Front Line By Recruiting Naturalized Player Silvio Escobar
JAKARTA - Naturalized player from Paraguay Silvio Escobar joined PSMS to strengthen the team to undergo the Indonesian League 2 which according to the plan will start rolling in October 2020.
PSMS General Secretary Julius Raja said in Medan Monday that Silvio Escobar had reached an agreement with the Medan PSMS management. He has even started to join training sessions with other PSMS players.
"Soon we will sign a contract with Silvio Escobar," said Julius.
Silvio Escobar according to him will be contracted until the end of the league season 2, on loan from PS Tira Persikabo.
According to Julius, Escobar was brought in at the request of coach Gomes de Oliviera, to strengthen the front lines of the Kinantan Chicken team which already has Ferdinand Sinaga, Hanis Sagara, and Azka Fauzi, and Anis Nabar.
Escobar said he was happy to be joining PSMS Medan, which has players with Liga 1 quality.
"They accept me like family," he said.
The striker from PS Tira Persikabo has become the latest recruitment for the Ayam Kinantan team ahead of the rolling of the 2020 league on 17 October.
PSMS had previously brought in OK John and Imanuel Wanggai.
