Police Call Motorcycle Thief Arrested In Tebet, South Jakarta, Category 'Receh' Perpetrators

JAKARTA - The police have named a man with the initials YH as a suspect in a motorcycle theft case he committed in the Bukit Duri area, Tebet, South Jakarta. The suspect, YH, was judged by the masses because the locals caught him in action. Luckily, the suspect was able to be secured to a guard post in the vicinity of the incident.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tebet Police, AKP Agus Herwahyu Adi, said the incident occurred on Monday, March 28, yesterday afternoon. During the action, there were two perpetrators, YH and one of his colleagues who are still at large. "One perpetrator is still in our pursuit. The one who was arrested (YH) is a suspect, a report has been made by the victim," Agus said when confirmed, Tuesday, March 29 .

Agus also said that this motorcycle theft gang was not professional. Because, continued Agus, the perpetrators only targeted motorbikes whose keys were still left in the ignition.

"The gang consisted of two people, but these small players are not professionals. Only players who miss the key, don't use tools," said Agus.
