COVID-19 Update As Of March 29: New Cases 3,895, Active Cases 115,709
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 158,102 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 3,895 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,005,646 people and active cases have fallen by 6,305 to 115,709 cases," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Tuesday, March 29.
Today's recovered cases increased by 10,092 people, bringing the total to 5,735,055 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 108 cases and a total of 154,882 people.
The province with the most new cases was in West Java with 920 cases and a total of 1,097,273 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 742 new cases with a total of 1,236,106 cases. Banten has 363 new cases and a total of 288,642 cases. Central Java has 329 new cases and a total of 622,954 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 3,328 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 902 recovered cases, East Nusa Tenggara with an additional 842 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 733 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 91,693,202.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 5.51 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 7,012 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, there are currently 196,240,871 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 158,830,466 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 21,474,870. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
