Official! PT LIB Confirms Bali United Vs Persik Kediri Match Without Spectators
JAKARTA - PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the operator of the Liga 1 competition has officially confirmed that the closing match for the 2021/2022 season between Bali United vs Persik Kediri on Thursday, March 31 will be held without spectators.
The President Director of PT LIB, Akhmad Hadian Lukita said the match would be held without spectators because they did not get crowd permission from the Bali Police. While the previous option, which asked for input from other clubs, did not apply.
"The Bali United vs Persik Kediri match will definitely be without spectators, we don't use the recommendation for permission from the club (other league participants). Last night we revoked it because it was related to the police permit," Lukita said in a written statement received by VOI, Tuesday.
Before the police issued a decision, PT LIB had decided to take votes from other Liga 1 participating clubs. This concerns whether or not the Bali vs Persik match will be held with an audience at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar.
However, from the results of the votes collected, the majority of clubs expressed their disapproval. Because it is considered unfair and will pass the regulatory agreement at the beginning.
The suggestion for collecting votes was that PT LIB had done it because previously the Governor of Bali, I Wayan Koster, had written to them. He expressed his desire that the Bali vs Persik match be attended by spectators, because apart from being the final match, the moment was also a celebration of Bali United's victory, which has successfully won this season.
Since the police did not issue a permit, the final decision was that the match would continue without spectators. But other than that, the decision regarding the location of the Bali United vs Persik match, which was originally going to be held at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, has yet to be confirmed due to security considerations.
"So because this involves elements of Kamtibmas that are of concern to local security, namely the Bali Police, so later we will make an analysis and study. Which location will be considered the most appropriate," said Lukita added.
Regarding the uncertain location of the event, PT LIB is still waiting for a decision. They hope that the location can be determined as soon as possible because the operator must also prepare a closing event as well as a celebration involving the invited parties.
"We are still waiting from them. It should be faster, yes, because it is also related to closing preparations and invitations and so on. Currently we continue to hold meetings continuously," he explained.
