Online Blocking Application, Quick Breakthrough For Law Enforcers From The Directorate General Of Taxes, Bareskrim To The KPK
JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkum HAM) said that the online prevention and deterrence application is a new breakthrough for the purposes of blocking that can be used by several law enforcement agencies.
"This application uses an internet network that can only be accessed by the Immigration network," said the Director of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement of the Directorate General of Immigration, Pria Wibawa, as quoted by Antara, Monday, March 28.
This was conveyed by Pria Wibawa in the socialization of the online blocking application and the alignment of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the investigation of immigration crimes.
In addition to immigration officers, there are several law enforcement officers who have been authorized by the Directorate General of Immigration through Virtual Private Network (VPN) access. Agencies that can use the online ban application are the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, the Directorate General of State Assets, the Directorate General of Taxes, KPK, BNN, BIN, BNPT, the Attorney General's Office, the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit and the Anti-terror Detachment 88, Wibawa said.
The operation of the online blocking application, he said, demands the obligation of the Head of the Immigration Office and the Head of the Immigration Division in each regional office to monitor all incoming prevention and deterrence proposals.
This is to anticipate that there will be no bans that have almost expired and are missed, especially if there are agencies that revoke the bans.
The application of the online ban application refers to the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 38 of 2021 concerning Procedures for Prevention and Deterrence.
In Article 5 Paragraphs (1) and (2) it is stated that prevention is valid for a maximum of six months and can be extended once with a maximum validity period of six months.
The online ban application will be integrated with other immigration service platforms to facilitate identification of subjects subject to prevention/deterrence.
Elastic search technology, namely identity search/matching will be entered into the online visa application logic to view the relevant crossing data. In addition, there is matching by biometric technology to minimize data falsification.
