Banten Governor Inaugurates The Rahmatan Lil Alamin Mosque, Located On Mount Luhur Citorek Kidul

BANTEN - Banten Governor Wahidin Halim (WH) inaugurated the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Mosque in the tourist area of the Land Above the Clouds, Mount Luhur, Citorek Kidul, in Lebak Regency, Monday, March 28.

Funds for the construction of the mosque with a capacity of 200 people came from the self-help of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the Banten Provincial Government. "This place has extraordinary potential. It is cool and very beautiful. God is beautiful and creates beauty," said Wahidin Halim as quoted by Antara.

He said Citorek in Lebak Regency has extraordinary tourism potential. The Banten provincial government has built roads and bridges so they must be guarded by the surrounding community.

"We have built roads and bridges and must maintain them. If something is damaged, we fix it," said Wahidin.

The Rahmatan Lil'alamin Mosque which means grace for all nature was built to facilitate tourists visiting the Land Above the Clouds to reflect on Allah's creation.

"We have to protect this environment. Our religion commands us not to cut down trees indiscriminately, nor do we exploit them," said Wahidin.

The construction of the Rahmatan Lil'alamin Mosque which is expensive is the construction of its foundation because it is on the side of a cliff.

The Head of the Rahmatan Lil'alamin Mosque Development Assistant to the Regional Secretariat of Banten Province, Septo Kalnadi said that the planning for the construction of the mosque was carried out on September 1, 2019 and the laying of the first stone on October 24, 2019.

The construction construction by PT Amanah Mandiri Makmur at a cost of around Rp. 5.5 billion.

"The funds collected from ASN reached Rp 6.5 billion," said Septo.

The design of the Rahmatan Lil'alamin Mosque building tries to blend with the typical stilt house building in the Citorek area. The roof uses a pyramid model with a choice of large pyramids combined with small pyramids.
