Duh! Hacker Breached Of ShopBack And RedDoorz User Data
JAKARTA - It was recently reported that the customer data for the startup ShopBack and hospitality services RedDoorz had been compromised by hackers. He also managed to retrieve some personal data.
This was discovered when ShopBack and RedDoorz announced the leakage of the data to their customers via email all over the country where their services were caught, including Indonesia.

The email sent on Friday evening said ShopBack had become aware of an incident several days ago involving unauthorized access to its systems. A spokesman said that the company confirmed exactly what data it had breached, and will follow up on more.
On the other hand, ShopBack has also tackled the problem, so that cybersecurity specialists have also been involved, to find out the extent to which the hackers accessed their systems. Even so, ShopBack said that user passwords and credit card information were still safe.
Apparently, the incident affected not only ShopBack users in Singapore but also Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Taiwan and Australia. The Singapore Data Protection Commission was also involved and immediately followed up on this incident.
Likewise with RedDoorz, via email to its customers, RedDoorz CTO and Co-founder Kunwar Asheesh said they had also identified an access violation to the database in its hotel service system.

"To the best of the company's knowledge, no sensitive data relating to financial information, such as credit cards or customer passwords, has been compromised," said Kunwar.
Kunwar said that currently the company is conducting a thorough review of all IT systems and security, and will continue to inform the public about its further findings.
It is not known exactly how much impact this hack will have. However, both ShopBack and RedDoorz startups advise users to immediately change their passwords and implement two-factor authentication as an additional precaution.
