New Group HYBE Announces New Name With Miyawaki Sakura And Kim Chaewon

JAKARTA - Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chae Won will soon debut under Source Music. The agency that joined HYBE Labels announced the name of their newest group on Monday, March 28.

Source Music announced LE SSERAFIM is the name of the newest K-pop group. Sakura and Chae Won are confirmed to debut with four other members.

On the same day, they released a teaser video featuring the logo and name LE SSERAFIM.

The word LE SSERAFIM is an anagram of the sentence I'm Fearless. Simultaneously, the agency also launched YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, VLive, Twitter for Japanese debut, and Weibo channels.

Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chae Won previously joined the group IZ*ONE, the Produce 48 project in 2018. Sakura from HKT48 then announced graduation in 2021.

Kim Chae Won, who is under the Woollim Entertainment agency, was also declared out of the agency and followed in Sakura's footsteps.

On the other hand, Source Music is an agency that debuted GFriend in 2021. After that, Source was declared to have been acquired by HYBE Labels, which is also a company for Pledis and KQ Entertainment. The new group Source Music will debut in May.
