Jackline Farewell, Chocolate Welcomes Aiu Ratna

JAKARTA - After the pop rock band Cokelat ended with its vocalist, Jackline "J" Rossy. As of January 2020, Jackline resigned after deciding to step into marriage in November last year.

However, this separation between Chocolate and Jackline is not sprinkled with bitter spices or unpleasant issues. They decided to end their togetherness professionally in a good manner.

Jackline chose to concentrate on the pregnancy program. Physical condition and psychological side make him have to set aside his busy life at Chocolate and choose to focus on his personal life.

“Chocolate and J split 'sweetly'. He has to live his family life, and Cokelat must continue to walk in the world of music, ”said Edwin Marshal Sjarif, Cokelat's guitarist, in a written statement received by VOI, Tuesday, January 7.

Since joining Cokelat on December 14, 2011 until his departure this year, Jackline gave birth to a full album titled #Like! which was released independently in 2016 and has six singles. The titles of the singles include; Betrayed, Cinta Matiku, Garuda, Transfers of the Heart via the label Halo Entertainment Indonesia, and Anak Garuda (Pro M) which is the theme song for the film of the same name, produced by Butterfly Pictures.

"Jackline Rossy. He accompanies us on a tour across the archipelago, providing beautiful and complementary works to us - even when our friends who were before J joined even separated from us," Ronny Febry Nugroho, bassist and founder of Cokelat, reminisce.

As additional information. Cokelat was formed in Bandung on June 25, 1996, before Jackline joined eight years ago, they had produced six studio albums, namely Untuk Bintang (2000), Rasa Baru (2001), Seg Triangle (2003), Dari Hati (2004), and Panca Indera. (2008).

These recorded works, among others, launched the singles Go, Luka Lama, Triangle, Jauh, Because You're Beautiful, Karma, and Bendera.

But don't worry, even if the Jackline left, Cokelat will continue to exist. Currently, for stage needs, Cokelat is strengthened by the formation of Ronny, Edwin, Axel Andaviar (drums) and Aiu Ratna, vocalists who previously joined the band Garasi.
