COVID-19 Update As Of March 28: 2.798 New Cases From Examination Of 129.894 Specimens
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 129.894 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 2.798 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6.001.751 people and active cases have fallen by 7.607 to 122.014 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Monday, March 28.
Today's recovered cases increased by 10.301 people, bringing the total to 5.724.963 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 104 cases and a total of 154.774 people.
The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 641 cases and a total of 1.096.345 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 573 new cases with a total of 1.235.364 cases. Banten has 343 new cases and a total of 219.144 cases. Central Java has 235 new cases and a total of 622.625 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 3.133 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1.300 recovered cases, DI Yogyakarta with an additional 891 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 607 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 91.535.100.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 5.51 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 4.436 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, currently, there are 195.958.039 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 157.974.507 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 20.134.645. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
