'Terrorist Sunardi Defended, Good People Fired'

JAKARTA - The decision of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) to fire the former Minister of Health (Menkes), Terawan Agus Putranto from IDI membership has been highlighted by many parties. One of them came from social media activist Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda.

Through his Instagram account, Abu Janda could not understand the IDI decision to fire Terawan. So far, Terawan is known as a good person, capable of producing various innovations in the world of medicine in the country.

Abu Janda then satirized this decision with IDI's attitude in responding to the death of Sunardi who was shot dead by Densus 88. In this case, IDI described it as 'a very dark day.'

"According to @ikatandokterindonesia, the terrorists at Densus88 were "a very dark day". In our opinion, Dr Terawan was fired by IDI, that was a VERY DARK DAY," said Abu Janda with a news post regarding the statement by the Head of the IDI Task Force regarding Sunardi's death.

The news with the title 'Doctor Sunardi Killed Shot by Densus 88, Head of the IDI Task Force: A Very Dark Day' was a statement from Prof. Zubairi Djoerban. In the news, Zubairi said the shooting to death of Dr Sunardi had hurt everyone who believed in and hoped for justice.

"Terrorists are defended, good people are fired, cool, IDI?" quipped Abu Janda.

Terawan's dismissal was decided based on the results of the 31st IDI congress held on 22-25 March in Banda Aceh. The dismissal will be carried out no later than 28 working days.

Quoted from the congress video uploaded by UI Epidemiologist Pandu Riono, one of the committee members said that the decision to terminate was effective from the date it was stipulated.

"Terawan has been permanently dismissed from IDI membership. One of the decisions of the XXXI congress in Banda Aceh City," Pandu wrote, quoted on Sunday, March 27.
