Stores In Pagedangan Get Administrative Sanctions For 1 Year Tax Arrears, Tangerang Regency Bapenda: The Deterrent Effect

TANGERANG - The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Tangerang Regency has given administrative sanctions to one of the shops in the Ararasa area, Pagedangan. This happened because the place was in arrears on restaurant taxes.

The Head of Wasdal Division of the Tangerang Regency Bapenda, Fahmi Faisur, said the shop had been in arrears for one year. The arrears amounted to Rp. 200 million.

"We have taken administrative sanctions by attaching a sticker that reads 'This Taxpayer Has Not Fulfilled the Restaurant Tax Obligation'," said Fahmi to reporters, Saturday, March 26.

Fahmi explained that the purpose of installing signs and stickers on tax object buildings was to provide a deterrent effect to entrepreneurs who were in arrears on taxes.

"In order to provide learning and a deterrent effect, so that other taxpayers can also determine their taxpayer compliance," he said.

Even though administrative sanctions have been given, his party still provides opportunities for entrepreneurs to reconsolidate to fulfill their obligations. Later, after being paid off, the sticker will be removed.

"But we are still giving them a chance. According to the rules, if all the tax payments have been made, we will lift the administrative sanctions," he said.

Fahmi said, if later the shop has not paid the tax until the specified time, the Satpol PP will seal it.

"If the businessman has passed the time limit and has not paid it off, we will hand it over to the Civil Service Police Unit for sealing," he said.
