Two Witnesses Are Searched About Nurhadi's Flow Of Funds From Palm Oil Plantation

JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators questioned two witnesses regarding the alleged flow of funds from oil palm plantations related to the case of former Supreme Court Secretary Nurhadi (NHD).

"Jumadi and Hilman Lubis were examined as witnesses for the NHD suspect. Investigators explored the knowledge of the two witnesses regarding the alleged flow of funds from oil palm plantations that were enjoyed by the suspect and other parties," said Acting KPK spokesman, Ali Fikri, in his statement at Jakarta, Saturday, September 26.

In investigating the Nurhadi case, the KPK previously confiscated oil palm land in Padang Lawas Regency, North Sumatra. The KPK confiscated twice, first the area of oil palm land which was confiscated was around 530.8 hectares and the second was around 33,000 square meters.

Apart from Nurhadi, the KPK has also named his son-in-law, Rezky Herbiyono, and the Director of PT Multicon Indrajaya Terminal, Hiendra Soenjoto, as suspects.

Nurhadi and Herbiyono were named as suspects who received bribes and gratuities worth Rp. 46 billion in connection with the handling of a number of cases in the Supreme Court, while Hiendra was named as the suspect who gave the bribe.

The receipt of bribes was related to the civil case management of PT MIT vs PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero) of approximately Rp. 14 billion, the civil case for dispute over shares at PT MIT of approximately Rp. 33.1 billion and gratuities related to court cases of approximately Rp. 12.9 billion. so that the accumulation that was allegedly received was approximately Rp46 billion.

Apart from oil palm land, the KPK has also confiscated several assets allegedly related to the Nurhadi case, including a villa in Megamendung, Bogor Regency, and dozens of luxury vehicles.

Regarding these assets, the KPK has also found sufficient preliminary evidence to develop Nurhadi's case towards suspicion of money laundering.
