5 Thousand Liters Of Cooking Oil Sold Out During Market Operations In Samarinda
SAMARINDA - A total of 5,000 liters of cooking oil were immediately depleted in market operations held by the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan (Kaltim) at the Office of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (Perindagkop and UKM).
"There are no queues in this cooking oil market operation because the registration was done online a few days earlier," said Head of the East Kalimantan Province Industry and Trade and Industry, M Yadi, as quoted by Antara, Friday, March 25.
Online registration was carried out a few weeks earlier, namely on March 2-4 and March 7-11 2022. Meanwhile, the benefits are specifically for disadvantaged families listed in the Family Hope Program (PKH).
Each family head (KK) in this market operation is only allowed to buy 2 liters of cooking oil at a price of Rp. 14 thousand per liter, or Rp. 28 thousand per package containing 2 liters.
This price can be reduced far from the current market price, because the cooking oil sold this Friday is old stock, when the highest retail price (HET) was still set at Rp. 14 thousand per liter.
This is in accordance with Minister of Trade Regulation Number 6 of 2022 which regulates the HET for palm cooking oil, namely premium packaged cooking oil of Rp. 14 thousand per liter, simple packaging of cooking oil of Rp. 13,500 per liter, and bulk cooking oil of Rp. 11,500 per liter.
However, currently the Minister of Trade Regulation Number 6 does not apply after the issuance of Minister of Trade Regulation Number 11 of 2022, so that currently the HET for bulk cooking oil is Rp. 14 thousand per liter or Rp. 15,500 per kg.
The initial plan was that the market operation was supposed to be held on March 15, but at that time it was feared that there would be a crowd buildup, so his party then set the clock and held a simulation so that people would not come together.
After the simulation was carried out and it was believed that it was a humane way to avoid queues, it was decided that this Friday the market operation would be carried out. It turned out that the facts on the ground were that there were no queues.
The mechanism applied is that people who have registered online then receive confirmation and receive a barcode.
Buyers come right away, show the barcode and get a queue number, pay Rp. 14 thousand per liter, then get cooking oil. This process only takes about 1 minute per person.
"This is a civilized way of conducting market operations. This method can be done by districts/cities so that there are no long queues, so that the progress of health is maintained," said Roby.
