Next Week, All Civil Servants In West Sulawesi Can Work From Home

JAKARTA - The West Sulawesi Provincial Government has implemented work from home (WFH) or working from home for the state civil apparatus (ASN) in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"COVID-19 is still at a dangerous stage for the community, especially in our area, so this WFH is enforced," said Governor of West Sulawesi Ali Baal Masdar as quoted by Antara, in Mamuju, Friday, September 25.

That way he asked all the Heads of Regional Apparatus to ensure that all ASN and non ASN continued to work at home carrying out government duties and functions as well as serving the community.

"WFH is enforced from September 28 to October 2, 2020 for ASN and non ASN without being subject to performance reduction and work discipline assessment," he said.

According to him, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 from becoming more widespread, adjustments in the implementation of the government system and services to the public will also be made, adjustments will be made to the implementation of the ASN system and working hours.

"To keep the possibility of the spread of Covid-19 in the workplace, starting from October 5 to 30, 2020, we are asked to arrange the work time of employees into work groups, or work shifts, alternating one day alternately," he said.

The heads of regional apparatus are also asked to ensure that working hours in the implementation of official duties at the office and in homes where they pay attention to the work goals of employees.

"All ASNs and non ASNs should not travel outside, but if there are matters that are very important and urgent and can interfere with the running of the government, then it is done selectively and must carry out independent isolation and check PCR / Rapid Test before and after traveling," he said.

The governor said that if efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are violated, they will be subject to disciplinary penalties as stipulated in Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline and other relevant provisions.
