Former Principal SD In Alor Regency Detained By The Prosecutor For Corruption Over Rp. 153 Million Of BOS Funds
JAKARTA - The Alor District Prosecutor's Office, Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara has detained Herlina Yuliana Maikosa, the former Principal of the Kopa State Elementary School (SD) with the status of a suspect in the corruption case of school operational assistance funds (BOS) which cost the state more than Rp153 million.
This was stated by the Head of Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the East Nusa Tenggara High Court, Abdul Hakim, to reporters in Kupang, reported by Antara, Friday, September 25.
Abdul Hakim said this was related to developments in the handling of the BOS funds corruption case in Alor Regency.
He said investigators from the Alor District Attorney had handed over the second stage of the suspect and evidence to the Alor District Prosecutor's General Prosecutor on Wednesday (23/9).
"The suspect has been detained by the Alor District Attorney's office," said Abdul Hakim.
According to him, the suspect Herlina Yuliana Malaikosa, former principal of SD Negeri Kopa, Alor Timur District, Alor Regency, misused BOS funds for the 2015-2017 fiscal year with a state loss of more than Rp153 million.
The suspect, he said, was charged with Law number 20 of 2001 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 65 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
According to Abdul Hakim, the second stage submission of the suspect was carried out in accordance with health protocols in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
"The suspect also passed the process of health checks and COVID-19 rapid tests before being detained at the Alor Police Detention Center. When conducting the rapid test the results were negative," said Abdul Hakim.
