Pachinko Synopsis: The Journey Of Kim Min Ha And Lee Min Ho In The Japanese Colonial Era
JAKARTA - For a long time, the Pachinko series premiered on Friday, March 25. The series is also the international debut of Lee Min Ho and Kim Min Ha as the main characters.
Uniquely, each player is required to audition for a role in Pachinko. Lee Min Ho himself admitted that he forgot the audition process because he had not done this for 13 years.
Actress Youn Yuh Jung was also surprised when asked to audition for a role in the series Pachinko. He felt confused because he had 50 years of career in the acting industry but still had to shoot.
Their struggle can be seen through the latest original series from Apple TV+. Here is the full synopsis of the Pachinko series:
Pachinko tells the story of Sunja's journey through life to 80 years. Growing up in the midst of Japanese colonial rule, Sunja (Kim Min Ha) meets yakuza leader and fish broker, Koh Hansu (Lee Min Ho).
Sunja, who is pregnant with Hansu's child, finds out that the man is already married. Sunja conceals the identity of the father of her child. The father meets Baek Isak (Steve Sanghyun) who believes his life will end soon.
Baek Isak married Sunja so he could name the child. Later, they moved to Osaka to live with Isak's family. There, he was shocked that Koreans were treated badly and discriminated against.
The Sunja family founded Pachinko, a gambling establishment in Osaka to survive.
A total of eight episodes, Apple TV+ has released the first three episodes of Pachinko which can be watched on Apple TV every Friday from March 25 to April 29, 2022.
