Bandar Sabu From Aceh Shot In Medan, Narcotics From Malaysia
JAKARTA - The Medan Police Department of Narcotics, North Sumatra, shot to death a drug dealer from Aceh Tamiang Regency in Medan City for fighting officers when he was about to be arrested.
"The suspect on behalf of Syukran (41) fought back using a homemade firearm so that measured decisive action was taken which resulted in the suspect's death. From the suspect, officers confiscated 5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine," said Medan Police Chief Kombes Riko Sunarko when exposing the case at the Medan Police Headquarters, as reported Between, Friday, 25 September.
The arrest of suspect Syukran originated from the development of suspects Ariandi (46) and Ilias (50) who were arrested with 2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine evidence on Sunday, September 20, in Medan Tembung District.
The officers then conducted an investigation and managed to find the whereabouts of the suspect Syukran at Jalan Gelugur Rimbun, Sunggal District on Wednesday, September 23.
At the time of the arrest, the suspect fought back by using a homemade firearm in the shape of a revolver so that a decisive measure was taken which resulted in the suspect's death.
Riko said that the suspects got the illegal items from the suspect Nurdin (DPO) who was suspected of being in Malaysia.
"Their network is an international network. We are still this DPO suspect," he said.
The three suspects who were successfully arrested were subject to Article 114 Paragraph 2 Sub 112 Paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 Year 2009 on Narcotics with the threat of 20 years imprisonment or the death penalty.
