So Fertilizer Doesn't Follow Cooking Oil So Rare

JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Corruption Prevention at the National Police Headquarters went to the field to supervise the distribution of subsidized fertilizers to prevent fertilizer shortages and misuse of subsidized fertilizers.

Harun Al Rasyid, a member of the National Police's Corruption Prevention Task Force leadership, said they were given a direct task from the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to supervise subsidized fertilizers in the field.

"This is an assignment from the National Police Chief who wants farmers not to experience a shortage of fertilizers and that no subsidized fertilizers are misused or accepted by unauthorized parties," said Harun in a written statement received in Jakarta, Friday, March 25, quoted from Antara.

Harun explained that the National Police's Corruption Prevention Task Force was sent to East Java Province. A series of activities were carried out with the East Java Regional Police as well as the Agriculture and Trade Offices of East Java Province. The activity started Wednesday (23/3).

Activities carried out by monitoring and evaluating the distribution of fertilizers from PT Petrokimia Gresik, distributors, kiosks/retailers to farmer groups.

"This series of activities is to prevent fertilizer shortages and the misuse of subsidized fertilizers," said the former employee of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

According to him, the steps taken by the National Police's Corruption Prevention Task Force in preventing the misuse of subsidized fertilizers begin with tracing and unraveling problems in the field from upstream to downstream in order to see what the working relationship and flow is like.

"In other words, what was the integration of business and business like in the first place," he said.

Not only that, continued Harun, the Corruption Prevention Task Force at the National Police Headquarters will also observe and examine the data submitted by the farmer group associations (Gapoktan) through the electronic system for the definitive plan for group needs (E-RDKK).

E-RDKK is a submission from Gapoktan to the district/city agriculture office to obtain an allocation of subsidized fertilizer.

"This is so that there is no manipulation in the submission," said Harun.

Harun added, with the efforts made by the Corruption Prevention Task Force at the National Police Headquarters, it is hoped that there will be no more shortages and misuse of subsidized fertilizers.

"We will very holistically and comprehensively see and review the production and distribution of subsidized fertilizers," said Harun.

The Corruption Prevention Task Force at the National Police Headquarters was formed under the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Department, which consists of former KPK employees who were accepted as National Police ASN.
