KSP Controls The Early Stage Development Of The Core Area Of The IKN Government Center

JAKARTA - The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) directly oversees and ensures that the initial stage of development of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) in the Indonesian capital is completed according to the target in 2024.

During his visit to Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan, Wednesday (23/3), Deputy I KSP Febry Calvin Tetelepta monitored the construction process of Zone 1A and Zone 1B of KIPP which will start from the geodetic control point or IKN zero point.

"We make sure the targets are met and all the interests of the community are accommodated in every stage of infrastructure development. Therefore we will continue to collaborate with local governments to oversee the construction of the early stages of KIPP IKN completion in 2024," said Febry, quoted by Antara from a written statement, Thursday, March 24.

The KIPP IKN development is planned to be divided into four zones, namely Zone 1A, Zone 1B, Zone 2, and Zone 3.

Zones 1A and 1B themselves will be the location points for the construction of the Presidential Palace and several ministerial offices. While other zones are still in the planning stage.

KIPP IKN will be built on 6,000 hectares of land. Currently, the development process is still focusing on road access and land acquisition.

"The acceleration has started with the installation of a geodetic point measuring instrument at the zero point of IKN. This point is a benchmark for the overall coordinates of IKN infrastructure development," continued Febry.

He conveyed that KSP as the institution that oversees the national strategic projects of the President and Vice President, has been intensively involved in IKN coordination meetings with relevant ministries/agencies since February, including in drafting derivative regulations of the IKN Law.

In addition to overseeing the stages of KIPP development, KSP will also ensure the construction of access road systems, raw water supply, flood control and drainage, and settlements in the IKN area.
