Bulk Cooking Oil Is Still Rare, Minister Of Industry: The Industry Is Still Producing, We'll See In 2-3 Days
BADUNG - Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita responded to the scarcity of bulk cooking oil in a number of regions.
The Minister of Industry said that the industry was still producing bulk cooking oil. In addition, Regulation of the Minister of Industry No. 8 of 2022 was issued which regulates production in industry.
"The industry is still producing. And the new candy will be issued on Friday. So we'll see in two or three days," said Agus Gumiwang in Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali.
With the Permenperin, it is ensured that the distribution flow reaches the retailers. "Now the production has actually come out and we predict that by the end of March it will be around more than 8,000 or 9,000 tons per day," he said.
In addition, it is still being mapped for policies in eastern Indonesia such as Papua, Maluku, NTT and NTB. Because in the eastern region, there is no cooking oil industrial factory.
"We will make a special policy for the eastern region, for Papua, West Papua, Maluku, North Maluku, NTT and NTB. There is a special mechanism for the east, the logistics will still be subsidized, the transportation will be subsidized with a special policy later," said the Minister of Industry.
