JAKARTA - Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Jamal Alam is still conducting investigations regarding the case of a series of TransJakarta bus accidents that occurred on the Jagorawi Toll Road, before the Kodam Jaya toll exit, East Jakarta, Thursday, March 24, morning.
"While the investigation is still ongoing. It is still being handled by the Laka Section of the Gakkum Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya," said AKBP Jamal when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, March 24, afternoon.
As is known, a series of accidents involving a TransJakarta bus with police number (nopol) B 7571 TGB with Mitsubishi Expander number B 2296 TYF and a gallon truck without a license plate occurred on the Jagorawi Toll Road, before the Kodam Jaya toll exit, East Jakarta.
AKBP Jamal Alam said the incident began when a TransJakarta bus driven by JLNI came from the East to the West on the Jagorawi Toll Road. It is suspected that the TransJakarta driver was not careful enough that when he arrived at the UKI toll exit the accident occurred.
"The driver did not maintain a safe distance and then hit the Mitsubishi Expander vehicle," he said.
He said the Mitsubishi Expander driven by CP was pushed and hit a gallon truck.
However, when the accident occurred, the gallon loader chose to leave the location. Luckily there were no fatalities in that incident.
According to AKBP Jamal, the losses were only material. As a result of the accident, the TransJakarta bus vehicle suffered damage to the front bumper. While the Mitsubishi Expander was damaged on the rear trunk door, the rear windshield was broken and the front bumper was crushed.
