Satpol PP Gives Sanctions For Unlicensed Illegal Boarding Owners In West Jakarta Area
JAKARTA - A number of boarding houses in West Jakarta that do not have permits or are illegal are subject to administrative sanctions by the West Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) at the West Jakarta Mayor's Office, Thursday, March 24.
In addition to unofficial boarding houses, the judicial trial is also intended for culinary and confection business actors who do not have a permit.
"We are holding a judicial hearing on Regional Regulation 8 of 2007 concerning Public Peace and Order. A total of 36 violators were present," said West Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit Head, Tamo Sijabat, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 24.
Tamo said the total fines collected in this judicial trial reached Rp44,550,000. The offense is a minor crime (tipiring).
The majority of violators are boarding house owners who do not have a permit. Boarding owners should have a boarding house building permit (IMB) from the city government.
"So we'll see from the IMB later. The IMB must be a boarding house IMB, then take care of the boarding house permit again," said West Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit Operations Section Head, Sumardi Siringoringo.
Sumardi explained that the fines that each owner of the illegal boarding house received were different. This is because the amount of the fine depends on the number of boarding house doors that are subject to sanctions.
The boarding houses are spread across all sub-districts in West Jakarta (Jakbar). "All of them are on average the same amount. But the most are in Tamansari and Grogol Petamburan sub-districts," he said.
However, when asked about the number of boarding houses that were sanctioned in this judicial trial, Sumardi did not provide detailed data.
Not only illegal boarding houses, his party also fined several clothing convection business places and restaurants that do not have a permit so that they do not have proper waste disposal channels.
With this judicial hearing, Sumardi hopes that business actors will complete permits and facilities according to predetermined standards for the convenience of customers.
"We kindly suggest that we take care of the permit so we don't get fined twice because we can do this judicial trial eight times in West Jakarta," said Sumardi.
