PKB Calls Reshuffle After Eid And Asks Ministers To Focus On Work
JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Jazilul Fawaid suspects a cabinet reshuffle or reshuffle will be held by President Joko Widodo after Eid Al-Fitr.
"It seems that the people who are waiting for the reshuffle will of course have to be patient. My guess is maybe it's finished fasting, after Lebaran if there is one," Jazilul told reporters, Thursday, March 24.
However, according to Jazilul, if President Jokowi really does a reshuffle, tomorrow will be the last one. The reason is that Jokowi has reshuffled his cabinet 5 times.
"Pak Jokowi has reshuffled 5 times. If the President wants to reshuffle, maybe this will be the last," he said. Nevertheless, the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR reminded all ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet not to be disturbed by the reshuffle issue. According to him, ministers must still focus on working to make the Jokowi-Maruf government a success.
"Ministers don't need to worry about the reshuffle issue. We hope that the existing ministers are concerned about their duties. Ignore these issues before the President will reshuffle," said Jazilul.
The man who is familiarly called Gus Jazil emphasized that a cabinet reshuffle is the president's prerogative. So there is no obligation to convey leaks about who the minister will be replaced or shifted.
"As long as the President views that the cabinet's performance is good, there is no need for a reshuffle, even though there has been no change for a long time," he concluded.
