Polda Metro Rejects Haris Azhar's Report On 'Economic Crimes In Intan Jaya' Luhut Pandjaitan
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has rejected the reporting of Haris Azhar and representatives of the civil society coalition for alleged economic crimes in Intan Jaya, Papua. Haris Azhar et al reported the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
The rejection of the report was ended after a long debate with the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya.
"After debating for several hours, the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya finally decided to reject our report," said LBH Jakarta Advocacy Head Nelson Nicodemus Simamora to reporters, Wednesday, March 23.
Nelson claimed there was no detailed explanation from the police regarding the refusal to report. However, long debates about various things have been carried out.
"The reason is not clear. We have argued earlier about the Criminal Procedure Code regarding the right to declare a criminal report," said Nelson.
Meanwhile, Haris Azhar had previously stated that he would report back to Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. The report follows the determination of the suspect Haris Azhar in the alleged defamation case.
The report that will be carried out is related to the alleged economic crime in Intan Jaya, Papua. That said, there is the name Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan behind it.
