SERANG - Serang Police Narcotics Unit (Serkot) handled a case of smuggling methamphetamine into the Serang Class IIA prison which occurred on Saturday, March 19, at 11.45 WIB.

The Head of Drugs at the Serang City Police, AKP Agus Ahmad Kurnia, explained that the crystal meth was put in corn which had been cooked into tamarind vegetables to trick the officers.

"The Serang City Police have handled drug cases by inserting methamphetamine into corncobs mixed with tamarind vegetables. This was discovered when the prison officers checked the food brought by AH for the inmates of LI (32) and HB (47)," said Kasat Drugs on Wednesday, March 23.

Agus added that after the Class IIA Serang prison officers learned of the incident, they reported it to the Serang City Police for further action by the Narcotics Unit.

"With this report, the Narcotics Unit immediately went to the scene and conducted an examination of the AH who was carrying tamarind vegetables containing methamphetamine, and secured 2 small plastic bags containing methamphetamine with a gross weight of 0.84 grams," Agus said.

Agus again explained, from the results of the examination it was found that LI and HB ordered crystal methamphetamine from OB (DPO) at a price of Rp800 thousand. Next, the OB gave shabu that had been put in the corncob in the tamarind vegetable to AH.

In this case, Agus has named two suspects.

"From the results of the investigation and investigation, we have named two suspects, namely LI and HB while AH is still under investigation as a witness is still being developed.
