The Story Behind The Arrest Of Hendry Santoso, The Boss Of Fahrenheit Trading Robot
JAKARTA - The boss of the Fahrenheit trading robot, Hendry Santoso, has been arrested and named a suspect. It turned out that his arrest was initiated by a summons for examination as a witness.
"The person concerned came to fulfill the summons," said Head of Sub-Directorate V of the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Kombes Ma'mun when confirmed, Wednesday, March 23.
After the examination, scheduled for Monday, March 21, was completed, investigators decided to increase Hendry Susanto's status as a suspect. Because, it is believed that the Director of PT FSP Akademi Pro committed or was involved in a criminal act.
"We raised the status as a suspect after being examined as a witness first," said Ma'mun.
In fact, investigators also decided to make arrests. The reasons ranged from being feared to eliminate evidence to fleeing according to the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).
"Then we made arrests," said Ma'mun.
In the case of the Fahrenheit trading robot, four people have been named suspects. They were also detained at the Polda Metro Jaya. The suspects had the initials D, ILJ, DBC, and MF. They have different roles.
For suspect D, act as a website admin and receive money or deposits from members. Suspect ILJ as a social media admin and promoting the trading robot. Furthermore, the suspects are DBC and MF who have a role in managing the Fahrenheit website.
In this case, the suspects are charged with Article 28 paragraph 1, Article 45 paragraph 1, Article 27 paragraph 2, Article 45 paragraph 2 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Transactions and Information.
As well as Articles 105 and 106 of the Trade Law and/or Articles 3, 4, and 5 concerning Money Laundering. And Articles 55 and 56 of the Criminal Code.
