Anies Has Disbursed Hundreds Of Billions Of Funds For Operational Assistance For Places Of Worship

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has disbursed hundreds of billions of rupiah in Operational Assistance for Places of Worship (BOTI) since 2019.

Based on data quoted by Antara, in 2019 the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) poured BOTI funds of Rp. 87.552 billion which was distributed to 3,148 mosques and 1,000 prayer rooms.

In 2020, BOTI funds disbursed Rp67.404 billion to 3,200 mosques, 2,000 prayer rooms, 1,379 Protestant churches, 19 monasteries and 19 temples/temples/mandils.

In 2021, BOTI funds disbursed Rp134,592 billion for 3,200 mosques, 2,000 prayer rooms, 1,379 Protestant churches and 29 monasteries.

Meanwhile, in 2022, Rp149.352 billion of BOTI funds were distributed to 3,200 mosques, 3,000 prayer rooms, 1,379 Protestant churches, 29 monasteries and 15 temples/temples/mandils.

Head of the Mental Spiritual Division of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Dikmental Bureau, Aceng Zaeni, said that while Anies was in office, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government distributed BOTI to thousands of mosques, churches and other places of worship, to monasteries. Value of IDR 1 million to IDR 2 million.

"For BOTI, the value is Rp. 2 million for mosques (12 months) and other places of worship, while prayer rooms are given Rp. 1 million. There are 3,300 mosques in total," he said, Tuesday, March 22.

As for the church, there are 1,379, Sunday school teachers and the boarding house are also assisted.

In addition, Jakarta has distributed Rp149 billion in aid for the renovation of houses of worship for all religions.

There are 65 houses of worship from various religious communities assisted by the provincial government in 2022. "There are 65 houses of worship in 2022, be it churches, mosques, monasteries, prayer rooms and so on," said Aceng.

The total financial assistance distributed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government for houses of worship for all religions in 2022 is IDR 11 billion to renovate the 65 houses of worship for religious people.

Aceng ensured that funding for houses of worship for all religious communities in Jakarta continues to grow every year, including an increase in the number of places of worship assisted by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

"From 2019 to 2022 there is an increase," said Aceng.
