Absence Of Meeting Due To Meeting With Jokowi, PDIP Legislator Annoyed Suggests Minister Of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo Resign
JAKARTA - Member of Commission IV of the DPR RI from the PDI-P faction, Riezky Aprilia, was upset that Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo was absent from attending a working meeting with Commission IV of the DPR.
Syahrul did not come to the DPR because he had to attend a limited meeting (ratas) with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the State Palace. Riezky said, based on the regulations, the working meeting must be attended by the minister. This is because there are many issues at the Ministry of Agriculture that must be discussed.
Therefore, Riezky asked for the working meeting to be postponed until the Minister of Agriculture could attend. He was also confused that many ministers were absent when invited by the DPR.
"I've been confused for a long time with the president's assistant. It's a shame that the president keeps hitting. According to the regulations, the ministers are present at the meeting. We are here to maintain the dignity of our parliament here, the representatives of the people. You have many problems but you think this is not important. We can also angry," said Riezky at the DPR Building, Tuesday, March 22.
Due to Syahrul's absence, the working meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture with Commission IV of the DPR was postponed. The meeting which will discuss the availability of food stocks ahead of Ramadan and national religious holidays will take place at 10.00 WIB in the morning.
However, because the Minister of Agriculture was not present, the meeting was postponed until 13.00 WIB this afternoon. That is with a note if the leadership of Commission IV DPR is also present.
Even more furious, the PDIP legislator also advised Syahrul Yasin Limpo to step down if he was unable to report agricultural problems to the DPR.
"If you don't want a budget and you don't need the DPR. Please postpone (the working meeting) until the minister is present. If the minister is like this, tell him to resign if he can't take care of agriculture," Riezky said.
