Karanganyar Police Chief Didn't Think Rasyid Al Fatah, A 13-year-old Boy With Muscle Paralysis, Had Died
KARANGANYAR - The atmosphere of emotion was recorded when the Karanganyar Police Chief AKBP Danang Kuswoyo visited the funeral home of Muhammad Rasyid Al Fatah, Monday, March 21. Rasyid is a 13-year-old boy who suffers from muscle paralysis.
Not only mourning, the Police Chief also took Rasyid's coffin to the grave. Although there is no relationship with relatives, sadness can be seen on the face of the number one person at the Karanganyar Police.
How could it not be, four days ago, on Friday March 18th, AKBP Danang and his wife had just visited Rasyid who was lying helpless on the bed.
At that time, AKBP Danang Kuswoyo saw firsthand the condition of Rasyid, who had suffered from muscle paralysis since he was a child.
For years, Rasyid could not play like a child his age. Because of his illness, Rashid could not go to school.
For his activities, Rasyid also relies on the help of his parents. Even though he was paralyzed, Rashid was very diligent in going to the mosque to pray.
Rohmadi, the father, deliberately modified the vehicle so that his son could go to the mosque. To the Police Chief, Rohmadi told that his eldest son had been paralyzed since he was 8 years old.
Moreover, doctors have sentenced his son to suffer from a rare disease, namely Duchenne muscular dystrophy. That was the last time AKBP Danang Kuswoyo saw directly the condition of Muhammad Rasyid Al Fatah. But he did not think that Rashid was gone.
As a sign of deep condolences from the Karanganyar Police Chief, Head of Public Relations of Karanganyar Police AKP Agung Purwoko said the entire funeral procession of Muhammad Rasyid Al Fatah was entirely borne by the Karanganyar Police.
"The entire funeral procession is borne by the Karanganyar Police. Including the ambulance that transported the bodies to the final resting place in Lalung, also used an ambulance belonging to the Resort Police," said Agung.
