The Bad Guys Movie Review: There's Always An Opportunity For The Evil One To Do Good

JAKARTA - The Bad Guys is the latest Dreamworks animated film directed by Pierre Perifel. This story is adapted from the children's series by Aaron Blabey of the same name.

As the name implies, the story of this film focuses on the gang "The Bad Guys" who have been the target of the police for a long time. They carry out robberies and create riots in the middle of the peace of the city.

The Bad Guys gang consists of Mr. Wolf (Sam Rockwell), Mr. Snake (Marc Maron), Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson), Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos), and Mrs. Tarantulas (Awkwafina). One day they were caught by the police.

When arrested, the five agreed to do good in order to change their image in public. However, it did not go according to their plans for the future.

The Bad Guys presents five animals that are described as evil animals. Cunning wolves, agile snakes, ferocious sharks and piranhas, and the so-called poisonous tarantula are described as animals to be avoided.

With familiar animal characters, the robbery story in The Bad Guys gets even more interesting. These five animals are often symbolized as evil parties.

The audience is also involved as if we were interacting with a crime gang every time Mr. Fox talks to the camera.

Like a film with a similar theme, The Bad Guys is colored by the adventures of criminals who are often tucked into the comedy side that comes from the five voice actors. The story also has a plot twist that is no less exciting.

Uniquely, this film combines 2D and 3D techniques - creating a new experience in animated films.

The Bad Guys has a heist story with a family side that is perfect for watching with the family. The Bad Guys film will premiere in Indonesian cinemas starting March 25, 2022.
