Police Summons 6 Experts Related To Investigation On The Fire At The AGO

JAKARTA - The police are again scheduled to examine 13 witnesses in the fire case at the Main Office of the Attorney General's Office (AGO), Thursday, September 24. Some of them are experts.

"The 6 experts consist of Puslabfor Experts, Fire Experts from IPB and UI, Criminal Law Experts from UI, Usakti and UMJ," said the Director of the Directorate of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Ferdy Sambo to reporters, Thursday, September 24.

Meanwhile, the other 7 witnesses were private parties, workers (craftsmen), cleaning service, civil servants and prosecutors at the Attorney General's Office. The plan is for the examination to take place at around 13.00 WIB.

"In total today there are 13 witnesses consisting of experts and other witnesses," he said.

Previously, investigations into the fire case at the Attorney General's Office were continuously carried out by investigators from the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit. In just two days, investigators have examined 29 witnesses.

Karo Penmas, Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that the witnesses were from the elements of the Attorney General's office and several construction workers. However, we cannot yet conclude who did the arson against the AGO.

"So the total number of witnesses from yesterday and today was examined by investigators as many as 29 witnesses," said Awi.

Awi explained that yesterday his party examined 12 witnesses. Meanwhile, today his party examined 17 witnesses. Unfortunately, Awi did not want to reveal what he had learned from these witnesses.

Awi only mentioned the 17 witnesses, from elements of the AGO staff, internal security (Pamdal) at the AGO to civil servants (PNS) of the AGO.

The Adhyaksa Corps building caught fire on Saturday, August 22 at 19.10 WIB. The fire lasted almost 12 hours.
