Operating 1.246 Kilometers Aka Half Of All Toll Roads In Indonesia, Jasa Marga Records Net Profit Of IDR 1.62 Trillion In 2021
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk showed a positive increase in performance throughout 2021 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the implementation of transportation restriction policies during the Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) period. This is reflected in the recorded net profit of IDR 1.62 trillion.
Performance in 2021 has increased which is reflected in the growth of Operating Income by 22.8 percent, which comes from the contribution of an increase in Toll Revenue by 23.1 percent and an increase in Other Operating Income by 20 percent.
"This is a positive impact from the operation of new toll road sections which are also supported by increased community mobilization, resulting in an increase in traffic volume when compared to 2020," said Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk Dwimawan. Heru also said that Jasa Marga recorded EBITDA throughout 2021 which increased by 28.3 percent in line with the growth of Toll Revenue in 2021.
"Likewise, the realization of the EBITDA Margin reached 65.2 percent with the operation of a number of new toll roads and efficiency efforts made by the Company in 2021," he explained.
Operating 1.246 km of toll roads
Heru said that Jasa Marga has operated 1.246 km of toll roads in 2021. This figure shows that Jasa Marga operates 51 percent of toll roads throughout Indonesia. Meanwhile, the total toll road concessions owned by Jasa Marga until the end of 2021 will reach 1.603 km throughout Indonesia.
Throughout 2021 until the third quarter, Jasa Marga has operated 55.94 km of toll roads, including the BORR Toll Road Section IIIA (Yasmin-Simpang Semplak) of 2.85 km, the Cinere-Serpong Toll Road Section I (Serpong-Pamulang) along 6.50 Km, Cengkareng-Batuceper-Kunciran Toll Road along 14.19 Km, Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road Sections I and V (Balikpapan-Samboja) along 32.40 Km.

In order to optimize the company's business portfolio, throughout 2021, Jasa Marga will continue its asset recycling program as part of its corporate strategy to balance the growth and sustainability of the company's business.
Heru said, one of the ways is by divesting Jasa Marga's 14 percent stake in PT Marga Lingkar Jakarta, a subsidiary of Jasa Marga that manages the JORR W2 North (Ulujami-Kebon Jeruk) Toll Road.
"And the divestment of Jasa Marga's 9 percent stake in PT Jasamarga Pandaan Malang, a subsidiary of Jasa Marga that manages the Pandaan-Malang Toll Road," he said.
To improve services for the comfort and safety of road users, based on the spirit of transformation and technology-based innovation, Jasa Marga launched the Jasa Marga Tollroad Command Center.
Jasa Marga Tollroad Command Center is the first and most complete toll road traffic control center in Indonesia based on the Intelligent Transportation System and the launch of the Travoy 3.0 application which is designed as a digital travel assistant to help toll road users drive on toll roads with features such as toll rate information, panic shakes to road user reports," he said.
