Prince Charles Immediately Visit Auschwitz Camp
JAKARTA - The Crown Prince of the British Empire Prince Charles will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Jews from the Auschwitz concentration camp. He will be the first British royal to visit the Palestinian territories later this month.
The Prince of Wales's Office confirmed this information Monday, January 6. It is reported that Charles is scheduled to attend the World Holocaust Forum on January 23 in Jerusalem, to pay tribute to the victims of the Holocaust.
From Jerusalem, Charles is also scheduled to visit other Palestinian territories. Earlier, Charles' son and son-in-law, Prince William and Kate Middleton, became the first royal members to officially visit the region in 2018.
In a series of visits to the Middle East, Charles will also stop in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum and deliver a keynote address for the launch of the Council on Sustainable Markets, which is designed to explore pathways for decarbonization in the global economy.
During World War II, the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in Southern Poland was the largest Nazi death camp used to commit genocide against Jews.
