Reaching 40 Percent, Booster Vaccination In Badung Continues To Be Intensified For The Sake Of Guaranteeing The Presence Of Tourists
JAKARTA - The Government of Badung Regency, Bali Province continues to make various efforts in accelerating or accelerating the COVID-19 booster vaccination for people in its area.
"So far, the provision of booster vaccines for the Badung community has reached more than 40 percent, which has exceeded the target set by the provincial and central governments," said Badung Regional Secretary I Wayan Adi Arnawa, quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 20.
He said that his party together with a number of relevant agencies were committed to intensifying booster vaccinations for the community in order to provide guarantees to tourists who would visit Bali and Badung.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, he said, the tourism sector was the main sector that supported Badung Regency, therefore the trust of tourists to visit Bali would greatly impact the economic recovery of the people in Badung Regency.
"We have been given privileges from the central government regarding the opening of tourism. To answer all central policies in helping Bali, of course, with the support of the community to make this vaccination program a success, so there will no longer be any doubts about the government opening up Bali tourism as widely as possible," he said.
In addition, according to him, the acceleration of COVID-19 vaccination was carried out as an effort to avoid vaccine stocks that were expired and could not be used.
"It's a shame if that happened, therefore we collaborated with various other parties such as the Badung Police and the Badung Religious Harmony Forum in organizing the COVID-19 Vaccination Festival for the community at the weekend," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Badung Police, AKBP Leo Dedy Defretes, said that his party thanked the people who were so enthusiastic about participating in the COVID-19 vaccination program.
"This means that the community wants Bali to quickly rise and recover. We will follow this up with the implementation of similar COVID-19 Vaccination Festivals in different locations," he said.
