Jokowi's Best Racer Climbs The Podium At The Mandalika MotoGP, Who Is He?

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has finally revealed who is the champion racer in the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit. Jokowi said that initially he favored Marc Marquez.

Unfortunately, Marquez had to miss the race after having an accident during the warm-up session. He is said to have suffered a concussion as a result of the incident.

After Marquez was absent, Jokowi replaced his champion. The choice fell to Fabio Quartararo who managed to occupy the second podium.

"The champion is Marc Marquez. But because he didn't participate, he changed to Fabio Quartararo, the second winner," said Jokowi at the Mandalika Circuit, seen on the Presidential Secretariat Youtube show, Sunday, March 20.

KTM's Miguel Oliveira won the Mandalika MotoGP race. He was ahead of Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha MotoGP) and Johann Zarco (Pramac Ducati) who finished behind him.

Oliveira finished with a time of 33 minutes 27,223 seconds. He is 2,205 seconds adrift of Quartararo and 3,158 seconds of Zarco.

The winning trophy was handed over directly by Jokowi, who climbed to the podium wearing a red jacket with a G20 pattern.

Jokowi admits that the implementation of this big event is not perfect. However, Jokowi emphasized that he would evaluate the Mandalika MotoGP event so that it would be better in the future.

"Indeed, there are still things that need to be evaluated, improved. I think this is a long-term event. Next year we will fix it again if there are deficiencies and I want to congratulate everyone," said Jokowi.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta also expressed his gratitude to those who supported the implementation of the Mandalika MotoGP, especially the people of NTB.

"I want to express my deepest gratitude, especially to the people of NTB, Lombok, who have given full support and also all, both organizers and all workers who have worked day and night preparing this big event," said Jokowi.
