Joe Satriani Releases Music Video For Pumpin', New Single From The Elephants Of Mars . Album

JAKARTA - Virtuoso guitarist Joe Satriani will release his 19th studio album, The Elephants Of Mars on April 8. Two days ago, he released his new single, Pumpin' through earMUSIC, the international rock label of entertainment group Edel.

Pre-orders for the album are now available to fans and include a special limited digipack CD featuring seven cards of two sides of Satriani's original artwork representing each track from the album.

Additionally, several color vinyl options will also be available for pre-order including an orange, pink and a special purple version.

Pumpin' showcases Satriani's funky fusion party side which he describes as "a high-energy funky celebration of the deep side of life. Heart pumping, live big, move fast, and feel 'good!"

The Elephants Of Mars itself has received critical acclaim, with Guitarist magazine calling the album "layered joy from start to finish."

Written in 2020 with all the time constraints, The Elephants Of Mars truly represents the album that Satriani hopes to bring with his band.

"We did everything," he said. "We tried the craziest ideas. And we entertained every idea we had about flipping something backwards, upside down, seeing what could happen."

Likewise, the gates of creativity are wide open for all musicians to take liberties on the songs in The Elephants Of Mars and share a side of themselves they couldn't before.
